Lamborghini Huracan – What Driving this Exotic Supercar Teaches You

The Huracan Spyder is the latest addition to the Lamborghini family. It’s essentially identical to the older coupe model with one obvious difference, the convertible roof. The soft-top collapses, and folds back within 17 seconds and is available in black, brown or red.
Lamborghinis are a class of their own. Each Lamborghini is defined by its notorious absurdity factor and the Huracan Spyder doesn’t disappointment.
If you’re planning to rent out a Huracan Spyder, here are a few things it will teach you:[title_inner_large center=”0″]The Loudest V10[/title_inner_large]Flipping the red on/off engine switch and firing up the V12 engine almost feels like you’re in a cockpit of an F-16 fighter jet.
There’s a 5.2-liter V10 that produces 602 horsepower coupled with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission for gear changes.
It features an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system that can send 50% of the torque to the front wheels or up to 100% of the torque to the rear wheels.
You can choose from three engine configurations; Strada (cruising), Sport or Corsa (race) modes. In Strada mode, the engine behaves in a relatively tempered manner.
Switch to Corsamode and you unleash the relentless V10 engine. You’ll have to wait a few seconds before revving up the engine as the computer safety system limits RPM to about 5500. Once the engine is ready, you can put the pedal to the metal. Full-throttle upshifts to 8000 RPM and produces a roaring, almost unbelievable sound.[title_inner_large center=”0″]It Can Spit Fire[/title_inner_large]In the most exotic supercars, the exhaust system can sometimes shoot flames when there’s unburnt fuel in the pipes. Only a few months ago, Ferrari recalled 2,100 of its cars due to vapor leaks that lead to the cars catching fire. In June, Porsche had to recall its Panamera models in North America after reports of fires.
The Huracan Spyder’s mesmerizing spectacle of shooting flames isn’t a cause for concern. The Italian manufacturers have perfected their design in order to allow the engine to do just that. It’s totally safe, looks cool and gives you instant street credibility.
[title_inner_large center=”0″]You’ll Get Special Treatment[/title_inner_large]Pull up to a crowded lot in the Huracan Spyder and you can be sure to receive special treatment. People will move aside and attendants will help you navigate your $250,000 supercar. Even the police will stand guard and help you cross that mean speedbump safely.
