EDC Las Vegas 2026: Exotic Car Rental for Festival Week
Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas returns to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway May 15-17, 2026 for its 15th edition under the Insomniac banner. Around 500,000 attendees over three nights, 10 stages, and the biggest dance music lineup in North America. For people flying in from Los Angeles, New York, Miami, or abroad, EDC is a five-day trip, not three, and renting an exotic car in Vegas is a different decision than renting one for F1 or a bachelor party. Here is what works and what does not.
EDC Las Vegas 2026 Basics
Dates: Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17, 2026
Gates open: Approximately 7 PM Pacific time each night
Last set ends: 5:30 AM the following morning
Venue: Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd N, 15 miles northeast of the Strip
Official shuttle: Insomniac runs buses from multiple Strip hotels; the trip is 45-60 minutes each way depending on traffic
Should You Rent an Exotic for EDC Weekend?
Short answer: yes, but not to drive to the festival. You do not drive to EDC. Parking at the Speedway is miserable, the traffic backup on Las Vegas Blvd North after the last set can be two hours, and nobody should drive an exotic car at 6 AM after a night of dance music. You take the shuttle or an Uber for the festival run.
What you rent the exotic for is the other 20 hours of the day. EDC week in Las Vegas is pool parties at Encore Beach Club and Wet Republic, daytime cruising the Strip with the top down, and late-afternoon dinners at Tao or Lavo before the shuttle run north. Your car is your hotel-to-pool-to-dinner vehicle, and for that, an exotic is a far better rental than anything you get at the airport counter.
Best Cars for EDC Week in Las Vegas
Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder ($895/day) — The EDC Status Car
If you are going to EDC with a group and want to set the tone for the whole week, the Huracan EVO Spyder is the call. Drop the top for pool party arrivals at Encore, cruise from Mandalay Bay to the Stratosphere before dinner, and hand the keys to the valet at Tao with 30 people watching.
Lamborghini Urus ($995/day) — For the Group of 5
EDC groups are usually 4-6 people. The Lamborghini Urus solves the logistics problem. Five adults fit in leather comfort, the luggage goes in the back, and when you pull into valet at the Cosmopolitan, nobody cares that it is an SUV. It is still a Lamborghini. Budget this as the "group car" if you have more than three people.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan ($1,095/day) — Comfort for Recovery Days
EDC destroys you. By Sunday morning after the Saturday night set, your crew will not want to feel any bump in the road. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has the best ride quality in the fleet, seats five in quiet isolation, and has enough air conditioning to handle 100-degree May afternoons in Las Vegas. If your group is recovering at a pool on Sunday, this is the car for the ride there.
Mercedes-AMG G63 ($895/day) — Nightclub Approved
The G-Wagon is the official vehicle of Las Vegas nightlife. Pre-EDC Tuesday night at Hakkasan, Wednesday at XS, Thursday at Omnia, the G63 fits in at every valet line. The 577-horsepower twin-turbo V8 makes the right sound, the seating is upright and comfortable, and the exterior is recognizable from a block away.
Corvette C8 Stingray — The Budget Play
For groups watching the budget, the C8 Stingray is the smart rental. Mid-engine supercar layout, removable targa roof for open-air driving, American V8 sound, and one-third the price of the Lamborghini. You still get the valet treatment and the photos. For a first-time EDC attendee, this is the car.
EDC Week Pool Party Schedule
Most EDC attendees hit pool parties during the day. Here is the typical lineup for EDC week:
- Wednesday: Wet Republic at MGM, Liquid at Aria
- Thursday: Encore Beach Club at Wynn, Daylight at Mandalay Bay
- Friday: EDC night 1 — pool parties end early around 4 PM so people can prep for the shuttle
- Saturday: EDC night 2 — early day parties only
- Sunday: Recovery day. Open pools, lighter crowds, perfect driving conditions if you are not destroyed
All five of the cars above work for pool party arrivals. Valet times at the pools during EDC week run 20-40 minutes, and exotic car valet lines are often separate and faster.
Strip Cruising Route for EDC Week
If you have one afternoon to actually drive your rental during EDC week, take this route:
- Start at the Stratosphere parking (free surface lot north of the tower)
- South on Las Vegas Blvd past the Sahara and Circus Circus
- Through the main Strip corridor past Wynn, Venetian, TI, Mirage
- Past Bellagio and Caesars Palace
- Continue south past Cosmopolitan, Paris, Planet Hollywood
- Through Aria, MGM Grand, New York-New York, Excalibur
- End at Mandalay Bay (self-park or valet)
The full cruise is 4.5 miles one way. At normal traffic, it takes 25-35 minutes. On a weekday afternoon before EDC weekend, you can do it in 18 minutes.
Getting to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Without Driving Your Rental)
Do not drive the exotic to EDC. The options for the actual festival run:
- Official EDC shuttle: Insomniac runs buses from 10+ Strip hotels. Round-trip passes are about $150 for the full weekend. Pickup is at the hotel, drop-off at the main festival gate.
- Uber / Lyft XL: Surge pricing is brutal. Expect $80-$150 one way going north, $200-$400 coming back at 5 AM.
- Private group transport: Some groups of 6-8 hire a charter van for the weekend. Better cost-per-person than ride share for large groups.
- Uber Black / Premier: About 20% higher than standard Uber XL, but better driver response during peak hours.
Your exotic car stays at the hotel valet while you shuttle to the Speedway. The valet charge for three nights at most Strip hotels is $40-$75 per night, but exotic guests often get preferential parking or waived fees. Confirm with the bell desk at check-in.
Hotel Recommendations for EDC Rental Delivery
EDC crowds concentrate at Strip hotels with the best pool parties and shortest shuttle walks:
- Wynn and Encore — closest to Encore Beach Club, main shuttle stop
- Cosmopolitan — mid-Strip, shuttle pickup on site
- MGM Grand — close to Wet Republic, south-end shuttle hub
- Aria — Liquid pool, shuttle access
- Mandalay Bay — Daylight, LAS airport proximity
We deliver rentals to all of these free of charge. Advance booking during EDC week is required. Same-day rentals during festival weekend are rare.
EDC Rental Timing and Pricing
Typical 5-day EDC trip (Wednesday to Sunday) rental cost estimates:
- Corvette C8 Stingray: $395 x 5 = $1,975
- Mercedes-AMG G63: $895 x 5 = $4,475
- Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder: $895 x 5 = $4,475
- Lamborghini Urus: $995 x 5 = $4,975
- Rolls-Royce Cullinan: $1,095 x 5 = $5,475
Split across a group of 4, the Urus works out to about $250 per person for the entire week. That is less than most people spend on Ubers over the same trip.
Practical Rules for EDC Week Rentals
- Do not drive the car after any session at EDC. Take the shuttle.
- Do not let anyone drive who is not on the rental agreement. Insurance voids the moment the keys change hands.
- Do not park on the street near the Speedway. Towing is active 24/7 during EDC weekend.
- Return the car clean. EDC weekend brings dust and fine sand from the Speedway area, which needs to be cleaned before return.
- Designate one group member as the driver for each trip. Rotate responsibility so nobody drives every night.
